What You've Missed

Packing to come home a week ago

Details: Dress-borrowed, tights-icing, shoes-ross, clutch-Icing, ring-Icing

Christmas day outfit. All sorts of fun that day

Yumyumyum artisan bread

Ashley's wedding shower, shirt form Bohme, skirt borrowed

I sorta caught the bouquet. No big deal.

And this is the holiday sweater photo. It's not ugly, just awesome.

I've had such an amazing past week. I love this town, and everything in it. I wish I'd had as much time as everyone else, being able to be home for weeks, not just one. I go home on Tuesday, and heck no I am not at all ready to leave. I want to stay here forever. I honestly don't want to ever leave this place, and all my family/friends. Well, I wish I could live here forever, but with all my Provo friends too. Especially Dane. I guess if everyone stayed in Provo, I'd be okay with that, as long as I actually get to see my boyfriend. I mean, I know a lot of people have it worse off, and don't get to see their significant other at all, but that doesn't mean it's not a drag.

I'll stop complaining now :P

And hopefully Nancy and I will be posting at midnight, cause tomorrow is the one year birthday of this blog! Holy Moley! It's a miracle.

 Love, Sarai

I just read this book, and you should read it too

Shirt-Alex gave it to me
Boots-Nancy (Delia's)
Elephant Necklace-gifted

Sorry for the hiatus. Nancy and I fail at blogging, because we love break, and each other, so we're buttheads to you. The end.
Anyway, break has been lovely, we both had a wonderful Christmas, and today we hung out and were lazy bums. Nancy corrects me: we're in the process of hanging out. We ate food, and talked for a while, and then realized we were super-tired, and we had to do something because it was only five and we were being old ladies. So we went to Target with Celeste, and that really didn't get us anywhere productive, being that we wandered the clearance aisles for a while and came out with a loofah.
Then we went to see Footloose with Emma. It made us want to dance, and also to watch Kevin Bacon's original angry dance. Watch it. It'll change your life.
And that's pretty much it for today... we're probably going to fall asleep soon, even though it's like, ten thirty. Or as Nancy just said, she wants food. Maybe we'll do that instead of sleeping....

And for your enjoyment:

The ever awkward daisy frame.

Love, Sarai

we're listening to this right now...

Sisterly Love

While everyone else is probably being all cutesy and baking, this is what my sister and I have been up to.

This is what all of these photos say: "I don't need to flirt. I will seduce you with my awkwardness"-source
May the awkward sister fest continue.

Episode 1

Presents From My Man

Dane bought me presents. For Christmas. And they're the best presents I've ever gotten from a boy. Granted, they're pretty much the only presents a boy has gotten me that were even remotely romantic. But still. I love them. And him. Hehe. The adorable cardigan was one that I had been lusting after from Bohme, and I was delighted when I opened my bag to find it :)
And then he bought me cupcake pans because I didn't have any. Which has made the baker in my heart really sad. Perfection :) And of course, he bought socks for me too, because I'm obsessed with socks. And the cinnamon Santas were a sweet little touch because Dane's Momma loves them. And he thought I might enjoy them too.
Which I did.

Dane has been home since Friday, and I'm still in Utah, and I miss him so much. Skype just isn't the same as being together. We get more annoyed with each other when we're not just talking to each other's faces haha. I miss cuddling with each other, and I miss hugging him, and I especially miss the kissing, and all the little goofy silly things we said to each other. Dane Fred got his wisdom teeth taken out on Monday, and the doctor gave him mint chapstick. He texted me specifically to tell me that it tasted like kissing me. Hehe. And then he also told me via skype that one of the reasons he likes me is that he can be himself around me, and also he likes that I laugh at his dumb jokes. Which is true.

So that's that. I really have just been watching Friends and working the past few days.
And I'm so freaking excited about going home on Friday.

Love, Sarai

I really adore this song

The Countdown

Melissa gets home in 3 days!!
CHRISTMAS IS IN 7 OR 8 DAYS (depending on how you count your days... well this all really depends on how you count your days if you wanna get technical)
And then it's time for New Years and the long drive to Idaho with Becca Boo.
I am happy. Despite the fact that i'm home alone this weekend. poop.

When You Need Something

I borrowed Diana's DSLR for these, so it was kinda fun...

Anyway, this last week I went to Salt Lake to see the temple, which for those of you who don't know is a very important place for us Mormons. It was such a wonderful trip-we got to see the lights, and the Christus, and the nativity. Also, I ate at this lovely little place called "the blue lemon" with Linda and Kenny. It was so uplifting and lovely. I couldn't believe how wonderful it made me feel.

But in other news, I can finally say this out loud. I'm in love. I even told him. I was terrified, but I realized it was okay, because even if he's not ready to say it, it still felt right. And I have a feeling it'll happen one of these days, really soon. So I'm not as nervous as I was. Falling in love, is not something I take lightly, but sometimes it just needs to be said. Also, we'd had a fight, over something that was most certainly my fault, and I was genuinely scared that things would end over it. But they didn't, which I am insanely grateful for.

Also, I'm grateful for Nancy. Literally, any time I need something, I am allowed to call her and lay it all out on the table, and have a meltdown, despite the fact that it's one in the morning. It's okay. It's fine. She reassures me like no one else in this world can, and when I called her after boyfriend and I fought, it was the thing I needed  more than anything else. If you have a best friend, you know how I feel. I can't wait until she comes to BYU and we live together. Perfection

Love, Sarai

PS: boyfriend and I want to sing this for something, like my ward's talent show.

Late Night Calls and Hair Tutorials

The past two nights Sarai and I have talked on the phone until almost 2 in the morning. Friend romance? I think yes. We haven't even been texting eachother the past one or two weeks so we have some much needed Sarai and Nancy time cravings. She needs to come home NOW! so we can watch all of our favorite movies, eat mac&cheese, drink peppermint hot chocolate, and stay up late with our endless conversations.
Here's our movie list for Christmas break:
Casablanca (of course!)
It's A Wonderful Life
The Clock
Meet Me in St. Louis
The Philadelphia Story
On the Waterfront
p.s. i'm off to stay with my children for the weekend! hopefully I don't go insane.... but i love them still.
p.p.s. Wondering how Sarai did her hair the other day?
I'm thinking I want to do the bun for Hailey's wedding :)

Dress-Forever 21
Nails-So Hot Right Now/Gold Dust by Icing

Nancy posted the lovely Ruche lookbook not too long ago, and can I just say I'm obsessed? I love the romantic and vintage atmostphere, but I also love that it's not so old-fashioned that it's dated. It's all about updated romanticism. I can't handle how perfect every article of clothing that they create is. I'm in love, it's a fact. So in that vein, I watched the video numerous times, and then copied the hair that was in it :) I LOVE the way it turned out, so chances are this'll be a recurring thing in my life. And in yours my lovely readers.

So now go watch the lookbook, so you can be inspired too <3

So anyway, I'm way jealous that lil Nancy gets to be a maid of honor pretty soon. That's my dream! Well besides being an actual bride... but I'm just sayin, I'm jealous. I want someone who hangs out with my all the time to get married! Dang it. Why is no one getting married? :(

Off to take a shower, take pictures (not simultaneously), and attempt to create loveliness,

Hailey the babe and her man Bobby

Do you remember Hailey from this post? or this one? Well she's a babe. Her and her man Bobby are tying the knot! He proposed in a very romantic way last spring and they finally decided on a date. August 13th to be exact.
Hailey's been telling me all along i'll be a big part of the wedding but I didn't know exactly what I was until today. MAID OF HONOR. Yeah... that's right. I'm so honored/happy/excited that Hailey wants me in that role and a little intimidated at the same time. When she said "big" she wasn't joking.
The bridesmaids are me and a few of our awesome friends that have stuck with us all through high school and turned into life long friends. Winter break will be so much fun dress shopping, wedding planning, and being all together again :)
I love Hailey dearly. She's been so supportive of me this past year and is always there when you need her. Especially when you need a little silly in your life :) Congratulations to The Babe and Her Man!

This year my family is doing a "homemade" Christmas. So no buying presents. But it has not stopped me from making a wishlist for other occasions. Most of the time though, I just tell Sarai to buy it for me (it never works).
1. A good pair of oxfords. I need some cute spring/summer shoes since BYU-I doesn't allow open toe shoes . pooh!
2. darling elephant ring
3. a cute vintage inspired jacket
4. a new sweater dress
