Yellow Alligator

Hey everyone.
So I guess you could consider Nancy and I the worst bloggers ever...
How long has it been since I posted? Five years? Possibly.

Anyway, things I love right now:

My new roommates-Kitty and Caity. These girls are the best, and they're crazy. We crank that One Direction CD like there's no tomorrow.

My Apartment. I have an apartment? Say what? That's what adults have...

Chocolate cake-It's just too good not to love

Red Stoneware... Audrey (the other roommate) and I bought some and it's the best. It makes my heart sing!

Gold glitter heels will always be my favorites

My sweet boy. The Danster. I miss that kid so much. I'm supposed to go to Texas, but I just got the bad news that that might not happen... sad day.

Shoot. I don't know how this list turned sad. Welp. That's lame.

This is my dream birthday wishlist. I would get all of these things in a perfect world but for now I have to dream.

easy dresses with a bit of charm

and a weekend bag
All of these are from my favorite store, Ruche, of course. I would buy their entire store if I could but sadly there's this thing called a budget.

Yay for spring birthdays!

P.S. Best friend who's a boy comes home in a little over two weeks (!!!)

Details: Shirt-Forever 21
Belt-Forever 21

Guys. I am so sorry for the absence. Finals, plus moving, plus being a freeloader for a weekend, and Dane leaving, it's all just too much. And blogging on top of that? Heck no way. So now, you finally get an outfit picture, and I really really hope you like it. Mostly because I'm pattern mixing, but also because you can see my new apartment in the background!! That's a lovely view of our front door, and a lovely view of our dining room. I love living here. It's a wonderful place to live :) And also, my roommates are the sweetest. I adore them already. Welp, I'll post tomorrow once I hopefully do something somewhat interesting...

well balanced

Well guys.... I originally came here to boast about how i'm actually eating a real meal and how I was going to take outfit pictures but blah blah blah happened and all the boys at church are really super cute BUTTT this whole new blogger thing is tripping me up. First it was Facebook that liked to change to this whole new Timeline thing (who really knows what Timeline actually means? it's still my wall as far as i'm concerned.) but now Blogger? And I just ate a grape that got mixed in with salad dressing... and there's a sticker in my salad. What is the world coming to?

Hoping you never find a sticker in your salad,

why hello there...

Over the break I went to Utah with Celestial and stayed with her older sister Haley and her adorable family. I forgot my bag with my camera and all of my shoes so my pictures are limited. But it was so wonderful to have a break from school, stay in a real house, eat real food that I didn't have to make, make Easter cupcakes, snuggle with the babies, and go to Gateway(!!).

Now i'm back in good old Idaho. July please come faster so I can go home to Washington!

We just had to get a picture at the border ;)

It Feels Like Years Since It's Been Here

Cardigan-Old Navy

Ahhhh. Sorry about the leave of absence my babies! I hated to be so gone, but it's finals weeks, and last week was leading up to finals week, and I'm just completely exhausted.
So yeah.
But also, my darling boyfriend got his mission call, and no matter how happy I am for him, I'm still sad because he's leaving me :(
But it's okay.
Also, life has been intense lately.  I've met Dane's grandparents, and they are wonderful, I've met his parents via skype, and I was so insanely nervous. I was the most awkward person in the world, but hopefully they don't hate me haha.
But yeah. Also, school kills me a little bit.

Love, Sarai

PS: this song makes me laugh every single time. cheers!

Shirt-Forever 21
Pants-Forever 21
Shoes-Forever Young
Diamond and Chain Bracelets-Icing

I think I may have found the most peaceful and joyful activity in the entire world. Feeding ducks. I convinced Dane to go feed the ducks with me today, and I loved every second of it. Granted, the pond smelled awful, but also ducks poop in it, so whatever. It's to be expected. And it turns out nowhere on campus do they sell anything remotely resembling oats, or the like. It was weird. So we bought raisins, hoping the ducks would want to eat them. They did. I hope that was safe. If we find out the ducks died, I swear it was something else. It was basically the most wonderful thing ever though. After that we walked over to the nature trail and sat and talked for a spell. Then the kid convinced me to go bowling (!) with his ward. Disclaimer: I hate bowling. With a passion. I always look so stupid, and I just suck. Anything where I throw a heavy ball is dangerous for surrounding people. So I protested. But he wanted to show me off to the ward I suppose (that's what I tell myself at least). And we actually had fun. Not the bowling part (although I did beat his score the second round hehe), but just the hanging out part. It was blast. Practice for open mic followed. We're singing Walk the Line and Don't Worry Baby. Should prove to be delightful for anyone listening. I hope haha.

I Literally Colored My Hair

Shirt-No idea
Hair-Chalk Pastels

After I watched The Help I made this. I love that movie, and I've started putting artistic stuff in my diary, and this time I just knew I had to make something of Mae Mobley and Aibileen. So I did

And have any of you guys tried the chalk pastel hair streaking thing yet? I just tried it last night, and I love it so much. It actually worked so well, which was surprising.

Anyway, that's pretty much all I have to say.

The Help

Elbow-Patch Cardigan-H&M
Striped Blouse-Forever 21
Bow Ring-Icing
Bow Earrings-Icing
Backpack-No clue

I convinced Dane to watch "The Help" with me tonight, and it was even better this time. If you haven't seen it, you should. It's inspirational, without being anti-white. Some of the stories are sad, some are good, but they're all incredible. The movie alone is amazing, but the book is even better. I'm almost done with it, and I keep recommending it to everyone who needs a good book to read. Fur rull. Just read it.

We also went to Dane's ward talent show, and I don't think I've laughed that hard in a long time. This guy played his recorder with his nose. It was extremely impressive. I kid not. And then this guy did a hilarious Harry Potter monologue/mash-up. So great. It was delightful, and hilarious, and there were the requisite awkward people, but even they were pretty good :)

Love, Sarai

My lil British friend Sam told me to listen to this guy. Love already.
