Tee-Victoria's Secret
Leather Leggings-Bohme
Necklace-birthday present!

These pants were called sexy today. I may have accomplished the impossible folks. I'm the least sexy person alive. I smile constantly (except in blog pictures, interestingly), I laugh too much, and I make odd faces when it's quiet for too long. That is a recipe for unsexiness...

A friend even told me that, actually. But he really fixed that up nicely when he told me today that these pants are sexy. Yes please! I felt like a foxy latina lady...

I can't wait to finish the sweatshirt I'm working on for class. I'm not a sweatshirt girl, but I feel amazing whenever I learn to make something new. Holla for fleece!

Also, I read the most lovely poem today:

"She walks in beauty, like the night
Of cloudless climes and starry skies;
And all that’s best of dark and bright
Meet in her aspect and her eyes;
Thus mellowed to that tender light
Which heaven to gaudy day denies.

One shade the more, one ray the less,
Had half impaired the nameless grace
Which waves in every raven tress,
Or softly lightens o’er her face;
Where thoughts serenely sweet express,
How pure, how dear their dwelling-place.

And on that cheek, and o’er that brow,
So soft, so calm, yet eloquent,
The smiles that win, the tints that glow,
But tell of days in goodness spent,
A mind at peace with all below,
A heart whose love is innocent!"

Happy Birthday!!

Happy Birthday to my dear Seri! We've been friends since we were three, hanging out in nursery with Celeste. Now you're a full-blown adult. The big 2-0! No more of that teen stuff. How did we get here?  It seems like we're still 17, hanging out in my basement watching Pride and Prejudice every weekend. Now, we're talking about graduating from COLLEGE. Seri, I love you very much and can't wait for our single ladies life in Boston with our bakery.

P.S. You know how I used to write silly little poems for people? Well, I'm starting that tradition again. So here you go!

Friends since '96-
We give each other the kicks.
Separated for a time
But now as inseparable as limes.
Let's bake a cake
And live by a lake,
You feisty little snake.

P.P.S. Here's an incriminating video of our friend from Sarai's birthday party this weekend. Celine Dion forever! {sorry, it's horrible quality and sideways}

Birdcage Necklace-Gifted

These pictures are from a while ago, when we went to the BYU fashion show. It was such a fun best friend date, although I hate to admit that we weren't very impressed. There were a few designers who did a great job, and a large majority that we were less-than-happy watching. But, it wasn't really supposed to be cutting edge, seeing as all the designers were students.

The guy who we took a picture with? That's his collection above. He was astounding! One of two designers that we were absolutely so impressed with. The other designer that we adored is actually my dance teacher, Bree. Her J Crew inspired line made me want to shop.. and in the worst possible way.

Anyway, despite the oldness of the photos, I figured I'd post them.

These Days

I have been much too busy to actually post anything good lately. I'm swamped at school, and dealing with a lot. But, that doesn't really matter. Because tomorrow (the 26th), is my birthday. BOOM BABY!

The first picture is of my friend Ben and I after a night of karaoke for my birthday on Saturday. And then the next picture is of my darling friend Sydney. She turned twenty on the 24th, so we now declare the 25th to be our special shared birthday-day. I love that girl. A whole lot a lot.

Anyway, this is just my version of checking in on my lil' bloggy blog before I die from the stress of midterms.

Also, my grandpa was starting to get worried by the lack of posting. Hahaha.

Il est enivrante

Skirt-Old Navy

Skirt-No idea

Nancy and I have a tendency to find the most interesting things attractive. You should really ask for a list sometime, but I promise, it gets a little crazy. A random example would be a man explaining how to put a baby down to sleep. This is a rather adorable thing for a man to talk about. It makes him slightly intoxicating, honestly.

Anyway, this is my latest project:

I have a problem where I consistently wake up at four in the morning, and then fall back asleep, and then wake up again every hour or so. This has been happening for the last year or so, and it's obnoxious.

So this balloon drawing is my way of saying, all the trouble starts at four. And all I can think is, seriously? Every night?

Well, sleep tight fellows!

Be brave, go to the thing, even if it means you'll be alone with that person for an extended period of time, and it could be increasingly awkward.

Balloon Dreams pt. 1

As a disclaimer, I'm not sure if anyone knows that I'm an artist.

Well, I am.

So here's my latest project!

I'm also mildly obsessed with hedgehogs and balloons.. but that's not really the point here.

Au revoir,

six degrees

top: F21 jacket: AE cardigan: F21 pants: Sarai shoes: Target

top: H&M trousers: thrifted? shoes: Icing

So you know the whole six degrees thing? I've decided here at BYU it's one degree. Today, I was eating lunch on campus and some random dude sat with me. We got to talking a bit and he mentioned serving a spanish speaking mission, so I asked where he had served and it was the same mission as someone I know from back home. I asked if he knew them, and to my "surprise" he did. This seriously happens all the time here. Small world.

p.s. nothing is better than an empty warehouse and crazy pants to dance in

{eyes all squinty-like}

Cardigan: thrifted
Pumps: F21

I'm waiting for some many things at the moment. I'm waiting for school to stop being so stressful, I'm waiting to sometime get promoted. I'm waiting for inspiration to hit. I'm waiting for Valentine's day! (this is the explanation I give for so much pink and red. It's my ritual) I'm waiting for a boy to be exactly what I need. I'm waiting for Joseph Gordon Levitt to decide he wants to marry a peasant. And I'm waiting for all the crazy feelings I have to just dissipate and make me feel more normal and cheerful. But the thing is, I can't just wait for those things, you know? I need to force them to happen. I can't wait for things to just  magically be better. I'm the master of my own life, the captain of my ship, the pilot of this freaking plane crash.

I'm glad I've been feeling more artsy lately. It's my soul, and I need to stop putting it aside for other, just as important things.

Be brave, draw a picture and show it to people,

Sentimental Heart

On Nancy:
Shoes-Urban Outfitters? (I really don't know)

On Sarai:
Jacket-American Eagle

Today was a Saturday that was altogether confusing. We woke up and cleaned the entire apartment, and then decided that we needed to find people to do things with. And no one wanted to do anything.  Which was very much bothersome. So instead of going out and having a jolly good time, we just decided to homebodies instead. This included watching multiple episodes of community, going for a walk, and me having a ridiculous art moment where I epiphanied myself into working on something for once.  I sometimes get so caught up in school, and work, and I forgot why I really exist. Which is to create. That's my passion. The form of art is less important; the creation is the most important thing. So I put music on and suddenly it came to me what to do. I'm a sentimental girl. As in, don't mess with the tiny moments. I will kill for those. So I created. And I'm actually really happy with the finished project...

Be brave, and channel what you're feeling, even if it's scary, and create something beautiful,
