Does anyone else live in Provo? I'm amazed by how foggy things have been. I'm from a town where moisture is always in the air, so fog is nothing new for me. But it's weird for it to be this misty here in the ol' Utah. It's normally so dry...

So the other day, in my Sundance post, I talked about how we saw this great band called Bramble perform. Well we ended up going to one of their shows the next day. And now I have a date as the result of that...

I ended up talking to the banjo/guitar player for a while, and he was really such a sweet guy. We talked about traveling, and things like that. And I just felt really happy and excited when talking to him. And then he asked me on a date. And I'm super-excited, but also nervous. Gah. I'm a dating mess.

 Here's the thing....I'm kinda obsessed with Dianna Agron. But can you blame me? The girls is GORGEOUS, can sing, is in a new movie coming out that is immensely exciting to me! And the girl has style. Yes I know; Hollywood actors and actresses have people dressing them. But even casually, this girl has flawlessly cute girly looks, and in her new movie with Alex Pettyfer (yum), the trailer alone inspires me fashion-wise! 

Case in point:

My beret? The adorable 100% wool baby perched on my head? I was inspired by the trailer for "I Am Number Four" when Dianna Agron is talking to Alex Pettyfer, and she's wearing a deliciously similar beret! I fell in love with the classic girlyness of the hat, but also with the innate sassiness (it's the french heritage i tell you) that seems to accompany it!

I'm just very pleased :)

And tomorrow I will hopefully have the time to write a post that I've been working on about the particular style qualities of the movie. I've been surfing the web looking for pieces that inspire the same girlyness that Dianna's character does. So far the search is going well ;)

Mr. Hudson's Bay Dance and The Yule Ball!!!!!!!

Ah this weekend was literally all about dancing...I went to two dances! One was a school dance, but now worries it was appropro! and one was a church dance..in the form of a BALL! I've always wanted to go to one of those :)

So the first dance was at school, and it was a fund-raising dance for Mr. Hudson's Bay, an organization at school that happens every year. 12 senior guys do a mock miss america pageant....craziness happens :) plus the guys are ALWAYS good-looking!

So I went to the dance this year, and it was so much fun! Turns out my friend Danny is a really good dancer...while I am not a good dancer.... hahahah

And the other was a youth dance that definitely was the most fun I've had in a while! Everyone who signed up for a partner assigned to them, and my partner was a darling guy named Zach! We all just had a lot of good-natured fun! I danced with some people I had never met before, and it was truly an experience to remember! 

Funny story about my dress though...

I had one picked out, decided I didn't like it, so I chose another, then that didn't work, so with fifteen minutes until the dance, I grabbed one out of Nancy's closet, and of course the top wouldn't zip up so we safety-pinned it and threw a shrug over the top!

For the record, I hate shrugs...but the dress was still gorgeous :)
