Imagine me singing that, very loudly, while cleaning my dorm room. I'm obnoxious

Yesterday was the last day of midterms, and because of cleaning checks and a mishap where I left my wallet in my room, I missed my test. Luckily, my teacher is wonderful and understanding :)

And today I almost didn't print my paper out on time. Things have been so precarious lately! It's only a stroke of good luck that my friend was at the library! Goodness sakes, thank you Sarah! But somehow, despite the insanity of my day, I still had a fantastic day
I don't even know why. It seems that since I've been here I've had very few awful days! Which is something I'm supremely grateful for! Maybe it's the wonderful friends I've made :)
last night we found some rejected exercise equipment....so fun ;)

Oh! My friend Danny (I consider both of us to appear racially ambiguous) got called to the Cuernavaca Mexico mission! He's so excited, and I'm dang happy for the kid! Congrats danny!

Oh, what do you fellow bloggers think of me with a middle part? I kinda dig it, but I'm not sure if I'm delusional....

Unofficial Senior Skip Day

Technically, senior skip day is in a week. But it was originally scheduled for today, so after the senior breakfast today, we all kinda took it easy...as in a lot of us skipped. I skipped fourth, but I stayed at school and worked on pottery. It was our unofficial skip day because we just decided we want two. It was pretty fantastic and relaxing :)

Also, those two girls in the top picture are seriously the lights of my life! Gaby and Mari (that's really how they spell their names. They're Mexican) are the girls my Mom watches, and watching them grow up from newborns to an almost six year old and a four year old has been delightful :)

I told them I would ALWAYS call them my babies today, and they both informed me they weren't babies anymore...but do I care? No. Absolutely not.

The time has come

I am officially on the countdown for days until I leave for BYU! Holy Goodness Sakes people! I'm feeling a combination of nervous, but excited...like Zac Efron on SNL...anyways

It's extremely nerve-wracking. Everyone keeps giving me advice, telling me not to date too many people, because apparently freshman guys are really only into NCMOs, but also, don't get too serious because we don't wanna deter or distract. But don't date RM's until I'm ready to get married....?!?! Scary thoughts people, SCARY THOUGHTS.

I'm so not looking for a husband. I mean, 18, and married? My father's worst nightmare. Or maybe, every father's worst nightmare...

And this is only one eighth of the advice I've gotten on dating, not to mention all the advice about jobs, housing, and academics. It's useful, I know. Just a bit overwhelming. But if it wasn't overwhelming, would it really even be considered college? I THINK NOT!

Sorry...I'm capslock heavy today ;)

OH. Also...an explanation for the random pictures of sushi behind my head in the above pictures--I went out to Sushi with my darling friends and I didn't really want to wait until I got home to take pictures, so we busted out the camera right there! It was unbelievably difficult to keep a straight face the whole time...I think maybe I laugh at myself more than is neccessary? ;)

And this, my lovelies....Are the treasures I chanced upon in pottery one day :)

We have to make glaze samples using random pieces of clay that we texture and then paint. And someone got excited and drew Unicorns! Ashley, that was for you :)

Doesn't your heart just smile when you buy new clothes?? Because mine certainly did when I got all of these things this weekend :) Even posting about them is a happy moment! Dang....

Anyways, notice that all three things I bought were florals? Or tended to be similar to florals? I don't know, lately I've been drawn to things that have a floral pattern, or like-floral. Maybe it's all the lovely spring air, and the sunshine, and the fact that I don't have to wear gloves to school in the mornings anymore? It could be any of those things, really.

It's been forever. And I have been missing the blogging....Our web album filled up, so I had to figure out the mechanics  of flickr....which was hard for me to be honest. I'm not a huge computer person. Actually it only took a few minutes and google to figure it out, but still....Things were touch and go for a while! 

I'm really proud of myself for doing this fishtail braid ALL BY MYSELF! Yeah...that's right ;) I figured it out, and then I just went with it. Everyone is so shocked when I french braid or fishtail braid my own hair...I didn't know it was that hard...but apparently it is! 

This lack of blogging has also been due to stress...homework takes major precedence over blogging, so it gets kinda stressful to even try. I've been staying up way late attempting to actually finish things on time, and be on track for graduation....it's tough sometimes. But I refuse to succumb to the possibility of wearing sweatpants and everything else to school. Last year I was all for that...this year however, Nancy and I have been trying much harder to dress cute! It's actually easy now to not roll out of bed and throw on sweats. My new policy is that if I don't feel cute or pretty, or beautiful in something, like heck I will wear it! No way darling, not happening. It's a pretty self-esteem boosting policy to have :)
