I'm home!

I thought it would never happen....

But here I am! I'm helping my Mom make treats for the family Christmas day tomorrow, recording a sweet little Christmas ditty, and seeing It's a Wonderful Life with my sweet ladies. It's so great to be here. It's a busy weekend, but in the best way possible.

And I also decided to pack light, because I need to help Nancy bring things to Provo. So I'm making this trip on:

1 pair of ankle boots

1 pair of toms

1 vest

1 jacket

1 sweater

1 tee shirt

2 blouses

1 pair of pants

1 dress

and miscellaneous accessories...

let's see what happens folks!

Last night I pulled an all-nighter with some good friends of mine. We went to see Crazy, Stupid, Love. Let me break this down for y'all. I am Emma Stone's character.

1. I proclaim my nervousness every time it occurs. Which is often

2. I talk while kissing. As in, I interrupt kissing sessions to ask random questions, and point out things that I was thinking, or whatever. Awkward

3. Everything I do is prefaced by a speech, lest someone else misunderstand

4. I definitely delude myself into thinking I should date guys that I shouldn't just because they are 'nice'. Don't worry, that's not what's going down with me and the guy I like hahaha

5. She was just super-awkward. So me. And talks a lot

A lot of these awkward things that I do have been witnessed moer than once by that guy that I like. He has seriously seen way too many of those things happen, and it was hilarious sitting next to each other at the theater, watching that movie, and I kept turning to him and saying "Oh my gosh. Is that what I sounded like last night???" to which he would reply by laughing and nodding. I knew it. It was so funny, but slightly embarrassing to hear exactly what I sound like to normal people. Normal people does not include me.

Also, this sensation has occured before. When I first watched "He's Just Not That Into You", I realized I was Gigi. The awkward one who's head over heels for every guy she meets. That's me. I'm not as bad as she is, calling every ten seconds, but I'm still a bit pathetic about love and like. I really just like people, okay?! Truth is though, in the end all I want is the grand romantic gesture, and to be the exception. I would LOVE to be someone's exception, just saying.

Oh, and things with the guy? Going well :) We're not really moving past friends at the moment, but I'm not giving up hope. At least now we both know how we feel. 

Oh, and he's a redhead. I kinda LOVE redheads

Unofficial Senior Skip Day



A branch fell off our tree...

Technically, senior skip day is in a week. But it was originally scheduled for today, so after the senior breakfast today, we all kinda took it easy...as in a lot of us skipped. I skipped fourth, but I stayed at school and worked on pottery. It was our unofficial skip day because we just decided we want two. It was pretty fantastic and relaxing :)

Also, those two girls in the top picture are seriously the lights of my life! Gaby and Mari (that's really how they spell their names. They're Mexican) are the girls my Mom watches, and watching them grow up from newborns to an almost six year old and a four year old has been delightful :)

I told them I would ALWAYS call them my babies today, and they both informed me they weren't babies anymore...but do I care? No. Absolutely not.

Doesn't your heart just smile when you buy new clothes?? Because mine certainly did when I got all of these things this weekend :) Even posting about them is a happy moment! Dang....

Anyways, notice that all three things I bought were florals? Or tended to be similar to florals? I don't know, lately I've been drawn to things that have a floral pattern, or like-floral. Maybe it's all the lovely spring air, and the sunshine, and the fact that I don't have to wear gloves to school in the mornings anymore? It could be any of those things, really.
