City of Salt Pt. 1

{I promise I don't take myself seriously... the gate was running away from me, and Syd got a shot right as I awkwardly looked at her while trying to pull the gate back to me...}

{Also, my best friend is such a babe}

These are only a few of the millions and billions of pictures that Sydney and I took the other day when we were in SLC. We went down simply to have a girls day. It started at Toasters, where we got the most delicious of all avocado sandwiches. Then we moseyed on over to the library, where we ended up buying a handful of delightful and fantastic books. I have a thing for books...

Then we took a kajillion pictures on the roof. It was great. Sydney makes me look fantastic, even when I'm looking a lil bit frumptastic.

After some book perusal, and a random creepy guy following us around, we chanced upon the capitol building. It was a marvelous place for a photoshoot, as you can see. And these are honestly not even close to half of the pictures we took. It gets a little ridiculous when we get together...

But, we met a strange political man there... more on that another time..

For the moment, I'll just wax poetic about how hectic and crazy my life can be. I'm looking into getting a car, and I'm starting a second job, just as finals are about to start.. why am I so crazy?

Also. That musician that I have a crush on? He's pretty fantastic. We've been talking to each other for quite some time, and we finally hung out in real life, and I must say, I've never met anyone quite like him. It's strange, how you can just be minding your own business, when everything suddenly changes, and you have to just gasp and go "oh. So that's the reason". That was a bit of a ramble. But suffice to say, I don't always make the smartest choices with men. I've been known to give people the benefit of the doubt more often than not, and it can be a bit of a challenge. But. Everything is wonderful now :)

A Crush

Ladies and Gents. Stare into my eyes in these photos and you will be staring into the soul of the world's WORST dancer. It's basically an award that they're giving out these days. I just got back from my jazz lab, and oh goodness sakes. How does a person who isn't clumsy at all in their normal life (we're talking walking in six inch heels guys) become the most uncoordinated person alive when dancing occurs?

It's terrifying. I'm always so awkward...

Also, can I just point out the ridiculous length of my hair in that bottom picture? I'm pulling on a strand, and it's down by my hips! What in the freak?

Also, I have a crush. It may or not be on the entire band "the Lumineers". Everything. The band, the clothes, the music, the girl, the boys. I love it all.

Oh, also, I have a crush on a person. But that's unimportant. He's just a cute musician man.

Love, Sarai

PS:

I have this song stuck in my head, but in the best possible way

Delicious food-Cafe Rio

My sweet roommates introduced me to the glory that is Cafe Rio. I think my life is forever changed. that is all that I have to say about that deliciousness. I hope I get to go back to that wonderful place. Except, I am also poor, and money only comes my way every other Friday. And officially, that goes to rent, and whatnot. It's the best. Also, can I just say that I miss Dane more than ever right now? We had an argument, and it hurts me that I can't just go kiss him after we make up. Or that I can't give him little cuddles when he stops being mad at me. I just miss him I guess. Also we haven't really talked on the phone, like, really, in a while. That's awful. Sometimes we talk for three hours, and apparently lately that is not going to happen, what with my busy schedule, and the lameness that is work. I love my company, don't get me wrong. But it feels kind of awful to work when I just want to be having fun. such as swimming, like tonight. That's actually another reason why I feel extra sad that Dane is gone. Everyone was having fun, and flirting, and goofing off. And I just splashed around having a relaxed little time. Which was kind of nice, not having to impress boys, but it was still depressing. I didn't want to hang out with those boys. I wanted to hang out with Dane Fred and splash around in the hot tub. We did that a few times this winter, and it was so nice, all hazy and lazy. I miss my sweet boy.

Spotted: the Elusive Snitch

I saw Harry Potter this weekend...and I went shopping. So basically, life was perfect this weekend. Just saying ;)

Harry Potter....let me just say I cried my eyes out during that movie. Half of that was because I was just so sad that it was ending! My childhood is legitimately over now...I only cried that much during Toy Story 3 for that same reason! It just killed me....
Which is so wonderful and nostalgic, but so depressing. I was honestly so confused. It genuinely made me feel lost...
oh gosh. I sound pathetic.
Anyway, I went with pretty much my entire floor, and it was insanely fun! My darling friend Travis dressed as the golden snitch...so legit. And Danny dressed as a wizard, but I didn't get a good picture of that unfortunately...

And that same night, when I was feeling a bit emotional, I also felt like randomly talking to people, so I grabbed four guys who were talking to each other, and turns out we'd met before, and they had pranked everyone by putting the Creamery sign on top of the bike roof...so Diane and Carson climbed up also.

I love those ladies :)

Anyways, life is great, the weather is stormy as heck, and I wish I was asleep right now...but that would mean not studying, so unfortunately that's not going to happen....a girl can dream though....

Love, Sarai

PS: I just watched a movie with my dormmates. I love those girls :) They make my life so much better, and just knowing them is a blessing <3
